No work today......

We went to the Three Horshoes in Groesfford to meet some friends for lunch. Wonderful lamb followed by 'mother would love them' puddings.

Catch up

Still not a lot happening. The weather is improving but still wet underfoot.

A certain amount of woodwork - this is the wood for 2016
This is the wood for 2015!
The broom seedlings have taken well but the wind had flattened them - staked now
This is not the book I have been working on but Dafydd (Penfedw) was so taken by the photographs I have done for the Farms and Filed names book he asked if he could make a photobook of a selection of them to leave in his holiday cottage for the visitors.  The title is 'There's no place like home.'

A full day's work!

A good day as far as the weather goes, but the ground is still muddy.
The summerhouse now has guttering.

And then I started tackling the wilderness behind!

The concrete outline is the old pig wallow. It will become a flowerbed in due course.

A brief window of opportunity....

It didn't rain at first this morning so I was able to excavate behind the summerhouse where the spoil from the ditch had been piled up.

But it didn't last. This is the view of the rain from the bench in the summerhouse porch....

Today it didn't rain, very much.

To celebrate a dry day I got out and did some work on the summerhouse. The door is now on, the handrails are on and half the roof has been painted.
Today's images have been provided by our guest photographer, aka Kate.

Not a lot happening!

Water in the fields, snow on the hills and sun in the sky. But it is not always like this - some times it just rains. For days.
So computer work and the odd trip out taking photos.
More derelict buildings....

Interesting engines in old sheds....

And unexpected owls.....

Catch up.

Not difficult to catch up as I haven't been running very fast! In fact there has been a lot of sitting indoors.
Some highlights of the week.

Setting up the new iMac.

And making it talk to the Windows PC.

Several trips out to photograph ruins and farms...

Including a spectacular ride on the back of a quad bike up onto the Mallaen to photograph some.

And a lovely mill with the remnants of the wheel.

And a perfect Welsh Cottage

But no work in the garden!

Busy indoors.

Today I was setting up the new iMac to access the old Windows PC.
It works!
