The archway has been threatening to fall over for some time so we decided to remove it before it did.

Still hard at it.
So many butterflies.
The garden is alive with butterflies. The one is a small copper. (I thought they had to be over five foot six!)
I am still working on the drive but doing other things as well. Like cutting the the grass.
And this was the project in the workshop.
This table has history. The first one was made from parts of the first house I owned. The base was made from off cuts from the stairs, the centre leg was a grand piano leg I found in one of the sheds and the circular top was made from pine cladding off cuts - there was a circular window in one wall that I put pine on. But over the last forty years (OMG forty years!) it has got old and damaged. So I have renovated it in keeping with its history. The base is made from wood from bookshelves that were behind a door in 22 Rodborough Avenue, the centre leg is the same but tidied up and the top is made from the the sides of a wardrobe that was in our bedroom in 22. So good for another forty years.

Catch up - again!
We were away for a week in North Wales visiting Harlech, Portmerion and the Lleyn peninsula.
Back now and back to work.
Lots of harvesting - blackberries from the fruit cage...
apples from the ground....
and the onions have all been strung up.
The next job is to renew the gravel by the new fence. The top layer of gravel, which is very uneven, will be dug up and used to toughen up some of the field tracks. Then new gravel will get laid - weather permitting.

Catch up.
I seem to have forgotten to blog - the holiday break and then the rush over the cottage overwhelmed me. Well it was busy anyway.
So. Lots and lots of cutting grass and more crops coming in. Lots of tidying up and weeding and pruning.
This year we will have apples. Lots of apples.
Our first blueberries. Just the four so no blueberry jam this year!
and a good crop of onions - the red onions didn't do so well.
Visitors tomorrow - Sally and Steve from Rodborough Avenue.
