We took a weekend off (!!!) and went to NewQuay, our favourite seaside site. Photo album - click here




And then we visited family and went to the NEC to see the Caravan and Camping Show. But the children enjoyed it too.

Gardening is always nicer in the sunshine.

After a pleasant weekend away....

We went to NewQuay for he weekend as the forecast was good. And it was very good.














But today was back to the garden, trimming and cleaning up the last of the winter debris.
Tomorrow the grass!

Progress with the decorating.

The double single bed room is now a princess bed room.


And Arthur's room has been redecorated






And is now a winter evenings dining room and somewhere else to sit.

I spent the morning levelling molehills. It was hard work but I don't want to make a mountain out of it.

And now back indoors getting ready to decorate the bedroom.

It's that time again.

Sixteen months later and the wall needs painting again because some of the stones stain the paint. So this time we are painting it the wall the colour of the staining. Sneaky eh?

A Welsh pushchair.

It meant Abbi and I were able to do some work stacking logs in the woodshed.
He slept through it.

I blame him.




But it was a nice excuse to go for a walk in the sunshine along the river.
And we did get to show him off to Eluned and Gunstan and Glenys.

So where were we? After Steph left there was a lot of packing to take Arthur up to Cumbria and then we stayed for a few days settling him in.
Monday was spent sorting the house out and now we are waiting for Abbi and Oscar - so not a lot will get done this week either.

Rain, rain, go away

It has rained for all of Steph's visit so reading has been the main task.

Back to the bathroom.

Old bath out. And you can see where the leaks were. The taps were at the centre of the back of the bath so they couldn't be tightened - you can see where I tried to get in through the airing cupboard but there was no room to get tools in. The tap connector fittings were loose and must have had a slight drip for years.
New bath tried in for size.




It is lower than the old bath so gives more headroom for the shower.
