A dozen trees planted. Three from my sixtieth ( thank you girls ) six birches from roger and judith. And three willows that were bean poles that sprouted!

Steph and I raised the sides of the raised beds then added more compost and rotavated. Bella worked hard too.

Actually we sat and stared. On the gardeners bench. For an hour in the sunshine. Kate had been walking with Audrey and I had been cleaning ditches and ponds. But the afternoon sun was so warm it was like mid-summer. Lovely.
