Fresh eggs and rocket from the greenhouse. Is this the good life or what?

For the last couple of days I have been sorting out the utilityroom - too boring to photograph. But I have also been working on the garden trying to recover what seems to be a water feature. A circular arrangement of stones with a herb bed behind it. I will reinstate the water once I have got rid of the encroaching grass and mint.

and then I shall try to work out what this odd arrangement is all about.

Oh my!! Just when you think everything is perfect it goes and gets better!! A kingfisher has visited the duck pond twice today. There are no fish in there but he was having a good look. Sadly no photo.

I promise that tomorrow I will tell you how horrible it is here but today I can't help going on about how lovely it is. We took the day off and walked to a pub three miles away. We had coffee with one neighbour on the way there and had tea with another neighbour on the way back. Walking beside the Towy most of the way.

And we found this lovely rapid by a quiet spot. Ideal for a picnic.

Another glorious day with hardly a cloud in the sky. I was in the kitchen doing the splashbacks. But tomorrow has been declared an official day off. Hooray.

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a ...... Etc. Etc. This is the view from our bedroom window on this fine Welsh morning.

Today I have been creating a workshop in the garage. Moving all the stuff about to get the right things in the right place. I even managed to set up the lathe.

And this is the half with surplus stuff in it.

We have found two abandoned goose eggs in one of the paddocks.

And this is a goose egg beside a chicken egg for comparison.

Yesterday I made up the wall cupboards and managed to get them to stay up. So far!

A typical Welsh day - twelve hours of sunshine. Will it always be like this? I spent the day in the kitchen - the sink now works, the kickboards are on and the first cupboard is up! Not much more to do.
