Off with their heads....
After a very pleasant week on Anglesey ( photos here - www.cghr.co.uk/anglesey-odyssey ) it is back to the garden
The lupins have looked really good and now need to be cut back so we get a second flowering...

From little acorns....
Not a good day so in the workshop making a large tree. Using armoured cable as the basis, sawdust for bark and lichen for foliage.

Wisteria in flower.
We have flowers on the wisteria for the first time. Admittedly they are not magnificent but give them a few years! It grows over the archway onto the road.

Weeding and planting.
This is the old pumpkin bed which is now a mixed flower growing-on bed. It gets weedy.
Now it has been weeded
And planted up with plants that need to get bigger
And to try to keep the rabbits from digging holes in the bed I have laid down lengths of sheep fencing.
I have also started marking out another new bed - this is behind the main flower bed and is for two reasons - it was a funny shape that was very difficult to cut and I need some turf to level up sections of the Cobb.
