Catch up.

Yesterday was meant to be a day playing with this....

.But after a few hours watching this....

.... I decided to go back outside. 

Edging for gravel and paving. 

Today was a visitor day with Kay, Dennis and Gail coming for lunch.

There are two circular windows in this gable to allow more light inside - they will be glazed with Perspex.

An IT day.

Most of the day was spent under the desk!

The summerhouse continues to progress. More roof structure in place now. 

And I have been asked to point out that Liz has put six sheep on the field. I will take photos tommorrow.

At last! A day of work!

Today was the first time for quite a while that I have been able to get out a do a full day's work. The ground is still sodden so I have started the next project. 

There are three tasks down in the pig field:

Fill up the flowerbed and plant it

Take the big branches off the tree house tree so that we get lots of small branches that can be woven into a roof

And turn the pig sty into a summer house!

A little light gardening.

More clearing and pruning. But seeing signs of life in the flowerbeds. 

And lupins still trying to flower.

Wet today. So inside making the Cilycwm website work again. And also continuing the work on the maps.

 

Back to work.

Not really, only joking. 

Still raining so I worked on the village website, which had gone offline. It is working now, more or less. 

Catch up time.

It has been a while since the last post and a lot of water has flowed under the bridge; an awful lot!

But not a lot has been happening in the garden as it is winter so all the activity has been out and about.

Here are some highlights:

Early in December we went to Cumbria for a fortnight to house-sit for Kate's brother and sister-in-law. They have three border terriers who had to be looked after.

We got out for some nice trips;

Then it was back home for Christmas. 

Just for two!

Then James and Grace came for a few days.

Then a family visit to Birmingham, calling at Baddeley Hinton on the way. 

And a family gathering that managed to avoid being photographed! Apart from this shot of boys being boys. "We are just testing" they said. 

And today has been the first day back in the garden, tidying up after the storms.
