Christmas fun.

Fun for everyone.....

( the ipad was in use as the puzzle was not the one on the box ( cheap Aldi tat ) so the picture was found on the Internet. )

And Jack and Immie made a gingerbread house.

It's nearly Christmas

A couronne and a decoration for the table.

It's not all sitting around.....

Going up in the world.....

Cleaning the gutters at Glyncoed and fitting gutter guard so that I don't have to do this again!

Catch up.

Different things have been happening.
I spent an inordinate amount of time working on a DVD for the local choir ( or Côr).

I have bottled twenty four bottles of apple wine.....

Lovely Apple green colour...... But that is mainly because of the bottles.

And I have planted another tree......

The weather outside is frightful etc. etc.

No snow yet. And no work either. We did have a lovely break in the caravan back in Gloucesterhsirshire to visit the family before Christmas.

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Busy doing nothing, working the whole day through etc. etc.

When the rain stopped the ground was too wet to work. Now it is frozen solid. So nothing much is getting done.

We went to  a wonderful choral evening where the Cilycwm Choir sang.

I have been doing the Christmas Card for Helen and Steve.....
This is the one they didn't choose.....

Pity!

Another busy day.

More penstemon cuttings in the ground.

Last year's cuttings potted on.

The meadow strimmed. (This place gets more like a caravan park every day!)

Field mushrooms still in the field.

Morning has broken......

Ok. Own up. Who broke morning?

Catch up....

I have been doing some gardening but mainly I have been doing Quaker computer stuff.

Pesky moles. I collect the soil and use it on the flowerbeds. But their tunnels collapse and make for very bumpy ground.

Previously the back of the Cobb has been left wild but next year I am going to try to tame it and keep it as mown grass with spring bulbs bursting through.

Lovely sunset every evening now.

A barrow load of red penstememon cuttings. These are bits from last year's cuttings stuck in the ground - they just root like crazy.

Oops. It fitted when I measured it!

Who put a tow bar on this car? Should have gone for the easily removable one.

Monday, November 24, 2014

First major frost of the Autumn.

But we spent the day in Brecon so no work got done!

Perfect occupation for a wet Friday afternoon.

This Lego Technic car has been in pieces for many years - I found the instructions online and have rebuilt it. Only for the grandchildren of course.......

What a glorious day!

Today the sun came out......

and in the post came the last bit of the rear view camera set up for the caravan.

Cold and wet

Not a nice day really. Cold and damp and gloomy. Still the show must go on.....
More tidying up flower beds and fruit cage.

The Liquid Amber is turning nicely.

A good day to be indoors.

Bad weather again so a trip to town shopping ( exciting!) and then more computer work this afternoon. The website of far from complete but some progress is being made. The work is under the Field Names Project menu.

Gimme shelter...

The rain came again while I was trying to tidy up the fruit cage. Pruning the blackberry, planting another thornless blackberry and lots of strawberry runners.
Sheltering in the polytunnel keeps me dry but it is very difficult to hear my audiobook!

A half day....

Rain this morning kept me indoors doing website stuff - now the Blaenau Tywi book is done I need to put all the research material up on the website.
But this afternoon I managed to get some work done on typing up.

Stranger on the shore.

We had a water rail on the pond today. These are shy birds and skulk around in the reeds and don't get out much. But this one hung around for quite a while and even said hello to a passing moorhen.

When the rain stopped I managed to get some gardening done - clearing out the polytunnel and bringing in the plants from the nursery beds.
