A birthday picnic

To celebrate my 60th birthday we took the day off and went for a walk and a picnic at the RSPB Reserve at Dinas - our favourite local walk.

Back to work after a break....

The butternut squash bed is filled to bursting. I love it when a plan works.

This sparrowhawk sat preening on the handrail this morning.

Community broadband.

We now have the hardware in place for our new local wireless broadband. It is not fully operational but we are averaging 5-6mbps ADSL. Eventually it will be synchronous - and we all know what that means!

Lots of rain and strong winds. Sadly it battered the lupins so I have had to trim them.

We have found a nice local walk quite by chance - we were blackberry picking a went further than we meant to.

Back from our trip.

We got back yesterday after our short trip - motorhome working well. Here are some photos.

We went for a lovely walk - saw flycatchers and crossbills.

The open road is calling.....

The sun is shining and the road beckons so we are off. Just for one night. Testing the van before our week long stay in a few weeks.
