After a long break (and before the next break starts) I am back at work - the handrail round the terrace is the next job.
They came. They saw. They ate.
Everybody came and had a good time. And the day ended with all the F1 fans watching together. Here are photos. Matthew is modeling a bear burr hairnet.
Tidying up and mowing and pruning and weeding - all the things that don't get done when there is building work to be done. All in preparation for the big do on Sunday - the family are visiting in force - forty people including six brothers and one sister. Partly an annual get together and partly a commiseration visit for my sixtieth later in September.
Dan came and collected the cut down shed that steve and I made for the geese. They never used it and has been sat in the view ever since. Dan will use it for his ever increasing flock.
Roger and Judith have gone now so back to work - trying to get the place shipshape before the family come at the weekend. A few weeks ago I put three of the goldfish from the small pond into the big pond. We are not sure if they will survive due to the kingfisher and the heron. We saw them today for the first time in weeks so we may put them all in there.
Roger and Judith are here so not much work getting done. But lots of sitting around and drinking.
First stop the Elan Valley for afternoon tea We are heading to Llanidloes for a couple nights testing the rig. Helen and steve and children are camping too.
