Sunday. Went to Quaker Meeting at Pales - one of the oldest meeting houses in Wales. Snowy and dark but amazing location.


Monday. Working on the goat shed.


Tuesday. Amongst other things ( fixing garage doors and holes in the airing cupboard) working on the goat shed - the other side.

A little light snow fell this morning - more hail than snow but there you are then. Very beautiful and not dangerous at all.

I must be getting somewhere because half the pile has gone.

A quiet day for the over sixties.

Today was the Christmas dinner for the over sixties. Of which I am now one. So roast beef and Xmas pudding with twenty five locals in the Neuadd Fawr. Lovely food and fine company and I was pleased to notice that I knew most of them.

Hmmm...what have I been doing?

Well yesterday was Sunday so that was a day off. Today I finished the roof of the goat shed and put up the guttering. Then I painted it black. Then I painted the wall and the window black. The I filled the trailer with soil and started to construct the border-which-will-be-a-hedge by the front of the house.
None of which seemed worth taking a photo of. Sorry.

Turning ......

Turning yesterday's logs into round blanks.


and turning a brown oak blank into a bowl. Yippee. I still know how to do it.

Chainsawing wood for turning and firewood. Spalted birch with lots of burrs for turning and oak for the fire.

and lo, a star shone over the goat shed.

Not a star really more of an electric light. But the point is there is power out there now.
