It is bitterly cold here today.

So a very short working period. The wood for the handrails for the bridge is frozen - the timber treatment was freezing as I painted it on. The BBC says it is -11 here.

The boards fitted to the deck of the bridge.

Detail of the handrail support.

Proper jointy things!!

No progress on the bridge!

The wrong kind of snow. So we worked in the garage. And had a snowball fight.

It does look very beautiful in the snow.

New chickens.

Here's a bizarre coincidence. The new chickens are of the Warren breed. And they are sharing the coup with two rabbits!!!!

With Bella and Noah's help we have glazed the big greenhouse.

And we have levelled the track by the garage and laid the membrane ready for gravelling. This area turned into a quagmire last week after heavy rain. So we have laid a drain under the membrane.

The weed membrane.

The foundations for the bridge are taking a while to go off in this cold weather.

So we are setting up the big greenhouse. Levelling it up and glazing it. One of the people in this photo is working hard!!
We also took delivery of four new feathered friends but it was too dark for photos. So watch this space!!

Full moon.

Today i fixed up the outside lights and finished the slate path around the lawn. It got dark before I remembered to take a photo of it. We also had a visit from the planning officer about the polytunnel. He says we will hear soon. They take planning very seriously round here!!!!!

A while ago I promised not to keep going on about how gorgeous it was here.

But honestly can you think of a better spot to eat your lunch?

I am renovating the garden arch.

The top section has rotted and is held up by the Rose. With a bit of luck it will survive a few more years now.

This is the location for the new bridge.

It will be more level so the tractor won't slip and slide as it struggles up the slope. Now, who can I get to help me build it?

A day off.

We took the day off today. We went to Meeting in Lampeter then I watched the race (go Vettel). And then I worked out a design for a replacement bridge.
